Day 6: Drapery Hardware

Day 6: 365 Days of a Happy Home

We are designing and fabricating window treatments for several clients right now. Drapery hardware is always a question. Clients ask what size, style and finish to use. Many factors come into play including existing artwork, woodwork, wall colors, etc. Ceiling height also comes into play when choosing the size of the hardware. Check out these ideas...what is your favorite?

This cast iron black curtain hardware from Pottery Barn is versatile. One option is the French Return rod. It discreetly returns to the wall without end brackets or finials. This is nice if you have room darkening curtains and want to really block out the light on the sides. These rods come .75” or 1.25” depending on the look you are going for. They offer rings with clips or the double ring. I prefer the double ring for a consistent hold of the curtain panel.

The Seville line from Forest Drapery Hardware is another favorite of mine. There are more finish and finial options than shown

This wood line from Vesta can be painted or stained to suit!

Lots to choose from. iVesta, through designers.

This polished nickel line from Pottery Barn really adds a touch of glam to any room.
