Battenkill Meadows is a sustainable community in Vermont, combining the latest in environmentally responsible design with historically inspired architecture right in the heart of some of the most beautiful scenery in New England. Modeled after a turn-of-the-20th-century village, the homes were clustered together to preserve open land and views. Each house was individually designed to take advantage of its unique site. Using the most up-to-date sustainable building practices, the team set a new record in the state for high-performance residential construction. These carefully crafted homes saved energy, money, and natural resources while providing comfortable, quiet, and healthy indoor environments.

MJG Interiors was part of the design team alongside Ramsay Gourd Architects, Mark Breen Builders, and McClarin Landscaping. The firm helped design the kitchens and bathrooms, as well as select flooring materials, paint colors, light fixtures, plumbing, tile, and other finishes. Before each house went on the market, MJG Interiors added the finishing touches with complete home staging, furnishing every room in the house.

A large ski house gets a family-friendly makeover that honors its ties to the local Vermont community. We collaborated with our client to update their short term rental home into a moneymaking showstopper.
