Day 98: Coverings '15 Show, Orlando FL

Day 98 of 365 Days of a Happy Home

While on vacation in Florida this week I decided to take a side trip to the Coverings '15 Show in Orlando.  It is known as the Global Tile and Stone Experience!  I'll say! Every country known to export stone was represented.  Vendors with exhibits of the latest trends in covering floors, walls and ceilings.  A feast for the eyes, guaranteed to make any home HAPPY!  Here are some of my favorites:

Yes, I am preppy! That is why I love this plaid! It is a mix of different stone tiles that create the plaid.

I love how the top tiles are laid in a way to create a chevron pattern. A little of this goes a long way.

This is the bottom of the same display board. The stone has been cut at a different angle to create a stripe pattern.

Sorry this picture is so fuzzy! I saw lots of wood tiles. These are beautiful end grains.

The back lit effect was popular. I expect to see more of it in the coming months. These are stone tiles that are very thin and applied over a light box. This would make a beautiful back splash in a wet bar! The second from the top is my fav!

Here is another application of thin stone in a slab form. This is back lit onyx! LOVE!

Great design for a bathroom floor or a shower wall. Simple 1" tiles.

More 1" tiles used to create this floral pattern. This would make a nice rug pattern on a bathroom floor.

Beautiful! Be on the look out for more hex tiles this year. Very popular.

These ceramic tiles have a great patina. They would be beautiful to create a checker board floor out of 2 of the colors.

Cuban art influence seen in these tiles.

Ceramic tile that looks like distressed wood. Perfect for wainscoting in a beach or mountain house.
