Day 105: Outdoor Rooms!

Day 105 of 365 Days of a Happy Home!

This time of year we all want to spend time outside, at least in New England!  A recent post by StacyStyle says that "Outdoor rooms are just as important as indoor rooms."  We couldn't agree more.  With the increasing popularity of fire pits, these outdoor rooms are becoming enjoyable year round.  Here are a few pics to get you thinking about your outdoor space...

This space has it all...fireplace, fire pit, dining, grilling, lounging!

This pergola was designed by Ramsay Gourd Architects using GPS technology to site it to provide shade at the peak times of the day in the summer months. The teak furniture sports Donghia Sunbrella cushions.

This may be all you need!

Great for relaxing or entertaining!

Sublime!

Great outdoor dining space.

This pool cabana, designed by Ramsay Gourd Architects, provides nap and hangout space. There is also a mini fridge in the built ins to hold drinks!

This stone pavilion designed by Ramsay Gourd Architects cantilevers over the pond. In the winter when the pond is frozen you can skate up to it and take off your skates to sit by the fire! It also houses a kitchen and changing room.
